Things that can Cut Our Spending

There are many ways for us to save money but one of them is cutting down on our spending. Have you ever been in that awkward situation when you start the day with a certain amount of money and because of oblivious spending, you suddenly wonder where your money went? Well, maybe it’s time to take a little more control on your spending. We’re not saying spending is bad, what we’re saying is that there are so many ways for you to be able to cut your spending.

Here are a few ways for you to cut your spending:

1. Do Groceries
Groceries are a great way for you to save! Even those snacks you’ve been craving, instead of buying them from a convenience store or a store where it would cost a little more. Another great thing about going to the grocery is that you get to buy by bulk which means that you get more at a cheaper price. You also get great deals at the grocery! Not only do you get to buy more, but you get to buy cheaper food.

2. Plan Your Week
Planning your meals for the week might seem a bit odd but it is the perfect way for you to be able to maximize your groceries and ration your meals. This also pushes you to cook which means you save a lot on food. Rather than always buying form outside, why not cook at home? You could start by once a week, then thrice a day, then everyday, then twice a day. Really depending on your schedule and discipline. You can even cook or prepare your food in advance and just leave them in the refrigerator for when you are scheduled to eat them.

3. Bring a Tumbler
We all need water. And although water doesn’t seem like much of an expense, it is actually a great one considering how many times we buy bottled water on a regular basis. Bringing a tumbler lets you drink water from your home anywhere you go. This might even be really convenient later on once you suddenly find yourself thirsty without any place that sells water nearby.

4. Bring Snacks/Food
This is an obvious way to save up on money. Even the cheapest meals you’d be able to eat at the Hawker Centers might even be more expensive than what you get to cook at home. Besides, with your low budget, there are very few options available. When you cook your food and bring it with you, or at least bring snacks with you, you are not only saving up on money, you are also giving yourself the liberty of choice.

Here are a few things you can do to cut your spending. Why spend extra when you can save?
